Deadzone Photobook Announcement

My apologies for having Miniature Monday come in a day late this week. I heard all of you out there shouting, clamouring, for it! Millions of voices, fists raised, crying out for- Ok, I’ll stop. But seriously, Miniature Monday was slightly delayed because there was a miscommunication with FedEx in regards to their delivering my copy of Deadzone from Mantic Games, but it’s here now and I am so excited to announce that I will be using this as the subject for my next photobook. Mantic was gracious enough to give me permission to use their models and I cannot wait to dive into this fantastic set.

I am so excited for this game! It comes with two armies (the Enforcers and the Plague), a play mat, and plenty of terrain that I can assemble and reassemble however I want. According to the back of the (very large) box, a typical game would look like this:

When you open the box, you see straight away how much possibility the game has.

Seriously, there are sprues for days!

The inside cover of the rulebook shows the production quality and sets the bar super high for photography. I’ve got my work cut out for me, but I think I can do it justice.

So. Let’s talk details. The Deadzone Photobook (I’m working on the title) is going to be released in the same format as my previous book Heroic Scale, as a 50 page PDF with 10 behind the scenes/making of photos, and you can expect it to be released promptly on May 1, 2015. Sound good? I can’t wait to get this into your hands and hear what you think. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a LOT of work to do and a short amount of time to get it done. I’ll check in with you guys next Monday!

Be good,
-Dave
